1:1 & 2:1 Pilates - Summary of Risk Assessment
- If the Client cancels because they are unwell, any cancellation fee shall be waived.
- Clients are asked not to arrive earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment time so as to avoid a crossover with another client.
- If there is a crossover, clients should be mindful to keep social distance.

- Reformers will be placed no less than 2 metres apart for 2:1 sessions and clients to maintain a 2 metre social distance from each other unless from the same household or in the same bubble.
- The client will be taught how to change their own Reformer springs when necessary, in order to maintain a social distance between client and teacher.
- When the teacher needs to change the Reformer settings, the client will be required to leave the machine and stand back 2 metres.
- A 2 metre distance will be maintained between client and teacher at all times unless the client requires urgent assistance.
- Both teacher and client to wash hands again at the end of the session.
- New wipe down Reformer strap covers have been fitted to all straps to enhance cleaning capabilities.
- A gap of 15 minutes between each Client shall be observed and, during this time, cleaning of the Reformer and other surfaces and equipment used will take place and the door to the Studio shall be opened (weather and other conditions permitting) to improve air flow, thus reducing the risk of any residual airborne contamination being present.

- Covid Screening form to be completed over the phone at the time of making the appointment. Covid Screening form to be double checked and Consent Declaration to be signed by the client at the start of their appointment. If the answer to any of the questions is yes, then treatment cannot commence until an isolation period in line with Government Guidance has been completed and the client confirms they are symptom free.
- For anyone in the ‘At Risk’ group it is recommended that they seek guidance from General Practitioner first.
- If you have previously had COVID-19 and have now recovered, treatment may proceed. However, if you were hospitalised or are still taking medication following the illness you should seek approval from your GP before the treatment can take place.

- Clients to be provided with clear guidance on expected client behaviours, social distancing and hygiene when they book their appointment and on arrival.
- When hands on treatment takes place a face visor shall be worn by the therapist in accordance with the Government Guidelines.
- The Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage have always recommended that Clients should be encouraged to wear face coverings whilst the threat level remains at Level 3, other than when they are lying face down. The Government have made this mandatory from 8th August 2020.

- Air conditioning units and fans will be used with caution during treatments
